Urgency of sustainable development challenges requires new corporate innovation approaches. One-year case study offers key lessons on how this might be done. Desire to plan and lack of lean startup approach expertise hampered fast action. Action-based learning driven by personal values helped to address this challenge. Corporate mindset of economic value creation was a barrier not overcome.
