Coated sodium butyrate (CSB) supplementation tended to increase colostral IgG and IgA concentrations. Pigs from CSB supplemented sows had increased weight gain postweaning under an immune challenge condition. The CSB supplementation in the nursery diet increased growth rate under an immune challenge condition.
