Cx43 constantly interacts with β-catenin, while it's interaction with E-cadherin and Claudin-7 is stage-dependent.

Cx32 interacts with E-cadherin, β-catenin and Cx26 throughout lactation.

Cx30 interacts with Cx26 during the last trimester of pregnancy.
