文摘
For the first time the optimization of the extraction of natural compounds obtained by accelerated solvent extraction “ASE” from Algerian Carthamus Caeruleus L was studied using full factorial experimental design, the optimized extractions conditions with the most efficient solvent in term of maximizing extraction yield has been isolated. The change in plant pores shape and structure before and after solvent extraction has shown that ethanol extraction has the most dramatic consequences on the pores structures by being the most efficient solvent. Using phytochemical analysis, we found 13 volatiles compounds (sesquiterpenes and fatty acids) in the extracts having known biological activities that may be the reason of the traditional use of the plant as a medicine against burns. Ethanolic extract was the most effective in protection against oxidation and inflammation comparing to methanol and hexane extracts, with an obvious correlation between the total phenolic compounds presents in the extract and the antioxidant activity. The crude extract obtained by accelerated solvent extraction with ethanol as solvent has shown a possible use as drug candidate against inflammatory diseases.
