Trace elements in tea leaves marketed in southeastern Brazil and their infusions were evaluated.

Toxic elements in the beverages were within established safety standards.

Dietary exposure and daily intake were evaluated based on 1 cup of tea/day.

PCA allowed classifying the tea samples in 3 groups based on their trace elements composition.
