Zn(II) is transported using the smart pseudo-emulsion strip dispersion technology (PEHFSD). A ketoxime and its quaternary pyridinium salts are used as novel carriers of Zn(II). All the extractants led to high zinc recovery from chloride medium using the PEHFSD technique. Permeation modeling was performed, the overall mass transfer coefficient being evaluated. Contribution of each resistance to overall resistance of mass transfer was analyzed.
