Three-dimensionally ordered macroporous CoCr2O4-supported Au-Pd alloy nanoparticles: Highly active catalysts for methane combustion

3DOM CoCr2O4 is synthesized by the PMMA-templating method. AuPd/3DOM CoCr2O4 is prepared via the PVA-protected reduction route. AuPd alloy nanoparticles are highly dispersed on 3DOM CoCr2O4. 1.93AuPd1.95/3DOM CoCr2O4 performs the best in the oxidation of methane. Catalytic activity is governed by Oads content, reducibility, and metal-support interaction.
