Thermal nexus model is introduced to predict thermal characteristics of motor. Concepts of unit structure and body/surface thermal resistances are defined. Iteration algorithm for temperatures of internal air region is suggested. Results from the present model is compared against CFD and experimental results. Present model shows high accuracy for analyzing cooling paths of the motor.
