WO3 thin films were formed via spray pyrolysis.

ZnCdSe quantum dots were successfully tethered to WO3 thin films.

The absorption spectrum of sensitized films extends to ~750 nm.

The optimal film led to a 120-fold higher photocurrent than unsensitized WO3 film.
