This report provides the first molecular evidence and convincing sequences of Babesia gibsoni detected and identified in Rhipicephlua sanguineus ticks. Further confirms the detection of B. vogeli in various stages of R. sanguineus ticks. Detection of B. vogeli in unfed male and female ticks may imply the epizootiological significance of trans-stadial transmission existed in R. sanguineus ticks.
