Performance of conversion efficiency of a bifacial silicon solar cell with particle irradiation

It has been made the theoretical investigation of a bifacial silicon solar cell under electron irradiation. It was showed that the bifaciality coefficient as well as the conversion efficiency decrease with both damage coefficient and particle fluence but the dependence to the fluence is more marked particularly from a certain threshold that depend on the damage coefficient. It was important to note that even for lower energy, for an extended exposure to irradiation (in space for example), the effect of the radiation will become more and more marked leading to power failure. It was demonstrated that the rear illumination (traduced here by the rear illumination level) play an important role on both bifaciality coefficient and conversion efficiency.
