SIMS allows δ37Cl measurements in glass with reproducibilities better than 0.3‰ (2SD). Large δ37Cl variations (> 4.0‰) are observed in volcanic arc melt inclusions. Distinct δ37Cl signatures are observed between the different volcanic arcs. δ37Cl signatures of melt inclusions depends on the thermal structure of the slab.
