Metabolites of young shoots of Aruncus dioicus var. vulgaris were investigated. Eight monoterpenoids were isolated and their structures were elucidated. Five of the eight compounds represent previously undescribed natural products. The distribution in different plant organs was studied by HPLC-DAD-MS. Six of the eight monoterpenoids were also detected in A. dioicus var. aethusifolius.
