A novel method integrated microwave-assisted extraction with aqueous two-phase extraction for improvement of extraction yield. Extraction conditions were optimized by single-factor experiment and response surface methodology. Four flavonoids in Crotalaria sessiliflora L. were successfully determined by high performance liquid chromatography. The mechanism of the extraction process was explored by comparative studies.
