The CN materials derived from ZIF-67 possessed micro/mesoporous structures. The CN microstructures strongly depended on the ZIF-67 calcination temperature. The surface area and nitrogen content were key factors for CN materials. Our Pd@CN catalysts showed superior catalytic properties in phenol hydrogenation.
