We present the results of polarimetric, photometric, and spectroscopic observations of comet C/2009 P1 (Garradd) performed in period from February 2 to April 21, 2012. We determined the period of rotation of the cometary nucleus as 11.1 ± 0.8 h. The emission features produced by the C2, C3, CN, CH, NH2 molecules as well as CO+ and H2O+ ions, along with a high level of the dust continuum, were detected in the spectra. An increase in the degree of linear polarization of comet Garradd with the wavelength in the visible domain is revealed. The significant left-handed (negative) circular polarization was detected in the cometary coma.
