A chemical inhibitor of histone acetyltransferase was evaluated in Arabidopsis seedlings. Long-time treatment provokes an inhibition in the root length and yellowed leaves. Short-time treatment induces a reduction of H3K14ac and the decrease in the expression of direct targets of GCN5.
