The pre-combustion capture unit for a bagasse steam cycle was designed and simulated. Heat exchanger network was designed for the carbon capture and storage unit. Heat integration was done between the power plant and the CCS unit. Energy penalty and fuel consumption of the power plant was reduced by using a HRSG.
