PODE3–4 have high oxygen content, cetane number and good solubility in diesel fuel. Both heavy-duty and light-duty engines were tested. ESC test was conducted using PODE3–4/diesel blends for the first time. PODE3–4/diesel blends can improve efficiency and reduce emissions significantly. Soot-free combustion can be achieved by using P20 and P30.
