The electric field and Cu dopant effects on S poisoning feature of Ni are analyzed. The present of large electric field can enhance S tolerance. Cu dopant concentration affect the surface electronic structure of Ni. 100% Cu doping on surface Ni layer can mostly decrease the sulfur poison.
