A novel fabrication method of in-fiber rectangular air Fabry-Perot (FP) strain sensor is proposed.
The length of FP cavity can be precisely controlled by a high-precision fiber cutting platform.
The in-fiber rectangular air FP cavity with different lengths have been fabricated and compared.
The cross-sensitivity between strain and temperature can be effectively overcome in the proposed sensor.
