Performance of circuit breaker models for breaking of the current with the DC offset. Overvoltages upon opening depend strongly on the applied circuit breaker model. DC offset in current may cause the ideal switch circuit breaker to give false result. Ideal switch circuit breaker model is not always apt for overvoltage calculation.
