Impact of SFCL on DC fault current considering fast protection is discussed. SFCL application may reduce fault current peak and current limiting inductor size. Surge arrestor size in hybrid circuit breaker can be reduced by SFCL integration. The current stress on hybrid DC circuit breaker can be reduced by using SFCL.
