Effectiveness of cyanoacrylate microbial sealant in the reduction of surgical site infection in gynecologic oncology procedures: A phase III single institution prospective randomized trial
SSIs complicate a significant number of women undergoing laparotomy for suspected or known gynecologic malignancy. The addition of CMS does not reduce the rate of post operative SSI. Prospective trials identifying strategies to reduce the incidence of postoperative SSIs are of extreme importance.
