Decoupling analysis combined with LMDI is conducted for China's special stage. Mechanism and progress in the decoupling of China's economic sectors is explored. Contributions of sectoral factors to China's decoupling effect are investigated. Energy intensity and economic activity level have crucial effects for all sectors. Industrial sector plays a dominant role in influencing the decoupling in China.
