Mesozoic orogenic gold deposits in Mexico
详细信息    查看全文
文摘
Known occurrences of orogenic gold in Mexico occur in Sonora, Baja California, and the Acatlán-Oaxacan metamorphic complexes. Currently available ages for these deposits span are Cretaceous to Early Cenozoic. The Sonoran deposits are strongly associated to rocks of the precambrian Yavapai province (North America craton). Los Uvares, El Triunfo-San Antonio and other deposits of Baja California are seemingly older than the Sonoran deposits. There is likely continuity between the orogenic gold deposits in the Baja California and those in the southwestern Mexico.
