Centromeres are visualized by FISH to a highly sensitive and specified PNA probe. DNA content and centromeres are visualized using DRAQ5 and a PNA probe. Individual chromosomes are identified and quantified using imaging flow cytometry. Possible applications in biodosimetry by scoring mono- and dicentric chromosomes.
