40Ar/39Ar dating of metamorphics in Sarawak revealed Late Triassic metamorphism. Volcaniclastics have Mesozoic zircons indicating contemporaneous magmatism. Detrital U-Pb zircon ages reveal reworking of Paleoproterozoic crust. Part of West Sarawak was connected to Sundaland from the Triassic onwards. A new reconstruction for West Sarawak from the Triassic onwards is proposed.
