Paper demonstrates gel electrolyte based battery-supercapacitor hybrid device. Si and TiO2 both coated on vertically aligned carbon nanofibers as coaxial shells. Gel film infiltrates 3D nanostructured electrodes and form stable interfaces. Device shows stable long cycles stability in the supercapacitor power regime.
