Increasing persulfate concentration increases AMZ degradation, especially on pH 7.

Adding H2O2 to UVA/PS system reduces AMZ degradation in pH 7 with no effect at pH 1.6.

Addition of Fe(II) to UVA/PS system hugely increased AMZ degradation.

Adding Fe(III) to UVA/PS system improved AMZ degradation by promoting iron cycling.

AMZ degradation was 10-fold faster for tested FeIII-complexes than for FeIII alone.
