Traumatic occlusion caused orofacial hyperalgia ipsilaterally. Phosphorylation of p38 and ERK was observed both in neuron and microglia. Activation of p38 and ERK were the main mechanism for orofacial hyperalgesia induced by traumatic occlusion. p-ERK1/2 potentially influence the p38 activation.
