Electrochemical reduction of porous Pd layers incorporate anionic forms of doped carbonaceous derivatives. Graphite, graphene, polyarenes reduced as poly-anions may react with doped Pd. Graphene through mixed electrolyses with Pd leads to Pd–graphene stable composite materials. Organic acceptors in contact with doped Pd produce quite stable redox systems.
