Photorefractive field properties of MnO doped near stoichiometric LiNbO₃ crystals were studied. The crystals have been grown by the top seeded solution growth method by adding K₂O flux to Li₂OaaaNb₂O₅ melt. Their IR spectra and domain structures showed that the crystals were near stoichiometric. From the results of the two-wave coupling experiments of the crystals, the effective charge density N_eff, the maximum saturation field E_q, the photovoltaic field E_ph, the diffusion field E_d, and the space charge field E_sc were calculated by iterative method.
