Particle deposition patterns on vortex finder wall were experimentally obtained. DPM was applied to obtain particles behaviors in annular space. Particles smaller than 10 μm are involved in deposition on vortex finder wall. Particle properties affect not only deposition pattern but also deposits buildup. Gas shielding method was preliminarily investigated to avoid particle deposition.
