Fuel cell power and hydrogen supplied rate were measured at a frequency of 50 Hz. Effect of purge duration on energy efficiency was analyzed. Optimal purge duration was 0.2 s for the single used in this study. Approach to determine the optimal purge duration was proposed. Optimal purge duration was to purge one-fourth of anode gas in this study.
