Role of trivalent bismuth ion substitution at Dy site on the physical properties of DyMnO3

Single phase DyMnO3 and Dy0.9Bi0.1MnO3 exhibited orthorhombic structure with Pnma space group. For Bi substitution at Dy site, Raman modes get hardened. Hopping energy of Dy0.9Bi0.1MnO3 decreased as compared to DyMnO3. Remnant magnetization and coercive fields decreased for Dy0.9Bi0.1MnO3.
