Novel composites—manganese dioxide/graphene nanoribbons (MnO2/GNRs) were developed.

MnO2/GNRs were fabricated by a facile and single-step hydrothermal co-reduction reaction.

MnO2/GNRs displayed high activity for the electrocatalytic oxidation of H2O2.

MnO2/GNRs based amperometric sensor possessed good sensitivity and selectivity to H2O2.
