Antiviral activity of tetrahalogenated benzimidazoles against RCMV-E was analyzed. Inhibitors leads to reduction of viral growth. Compounds block cleavage of concatemeric viral DNA and nuclear egress of capsids. Compounds have a high efficacy in three-dimensional environment.
