4-Mercaptophenylboronic acid induced in situ assembly of citrate-capped AgNPs on o-diphenol-covered electrode surface. The assembly was based on the AgS and boronate-citrate/o-diphenol interactions. Tyrosinase and thrombin were tested as the model analytes. The method could be used to determine tyrosine kinases, thiol proteins and o-diphenol/diol-containing species.
