Effect of Rabi splitting on the low-temperature electron paramagnetic resonance signal of anthracite

Strong coupling between electron spins in anthracite and a cavity is realized. The coupling strength increases with sample size and temperature lowering. Rabi splitting in the spin-cavity spectrum causes the AFC to the EPR lineshape. Bistability, hysteresis and no-Lorentzian EPR lineshape are observed. Rabi splitting allows an absolute determination of the number of spins in a sample.
