SP1 and USF differentially regulate ADAMTS1 gene expression under normoxic and hypoxic conditions in hepatoma cells

ADAMTS1 mRNA and protein level were upregulated in hepatoma cells at the hypoxic condition.

Human ADAMTS1 promoter activity in hepatoma cells was repressed by SP1 and USF1 in normoxic condition.

SP1 and USF led to the increase of ADAMTS1 gene expressions in hypoxic condition.

C/EBPα is not involved in the regulation of human ADAMTS1 promoter in hepatoma cells.
