Literature reveals contrasting findings on the interaction of curcumin with DNA. Done a detailed investigation on the interaction between calf thymus DNA and curcumin using spectroscopic, calorimetric and electrophoresis techniques. Confirms that curcumin binds to the minor groove of ctDNA. First to confirm the minor groove binding of curcumin with DNA using electrophoresis, DSC and melting temperature analysis.
