The Al-Ti-C alloy was used for refining the coarse phases in Al-Si-Fe-Cu alloy. Effect of the Al-Ti-C additions on the microstructures and mechanical properties of Al-Si-Fe-Cu alloy was studied. The optimum mechanical properties were obtained with the 0.6%.Al-Ti-C addition.
