Structural diversity and magnetic properties of six metal-organic coordination polymers based on semi-rigid V-shape tetracarboxylic acid ligand

Six Mn metal-organic frameworks have been assembled from V-shaped terphenyl tetracarboxylate ligand.

The coordination number of terphenyl tetracarboxylate ligand varies from 6 to 10, and each ligand links 4–8 Mn(II) ions.

The first coordination saturated phthalate is presented.

Compared to H2O solvent, DMF can increase coordination number of the ligand.
