Determination of the fouling rates in a small-scale biomass underfed fixed-bed combustor. A water-refrigerated sampling probe was placed in the cross-flow. Deposition rates fluctuated between 7 and 28 g/m2 h using commercial wood pellet. Collected matter was divided into deposited and attached. A photogrammetric procedure was used to determine the fouling profile around the sampling probe.
