Bifunctional, on-off switchable fluorescein dye reporter was synthesized. The reporter was bound to anticancer drugs via different biodegradable linkers. The drug release triggered by bio-hydrolytic environment was monitored. The fluorescence, absorption and LC/MS cleavage profiles were obtained. The developed platform is useful for fluorescent monitor of drug delivery in vivo.
