The Z-TPE-5 could sensitively discriminate heparin from other ploysaccharides. The Z-TPE-5 shows excellent fluorescence response to heparin with a detection limit of 1.53 ng/mL. The high affinity between heparin and protamine is employed. This probe can be applied for the detection of heparin in serum. Advantages of the present strategy: label-free, simplicity, rapidity and high sensitivity.
