The concept and definition of a low carbon campus were proposed along with a comprehensive model for a low carbon campus. The ecological footprint evaluation and life cycle assessment were integrated to evaluate a low carbon campus. Various innovation efforts in Tianjin Polytechnical University were presented. Low carbon campus can be judged from the integrated method qualitatively and the ecological footprint index quantitatively.
