Many facilities have machines with multitasking capabilities. A continuous time formulation is proposed to schedule operations of such facilities. The performance of the formulation is compared against a single-tasking formulation. The multitasking formulation produces better quality solutions. The multitasking formulation does not implicate higher computational costs.
