Carabid diversity was studied across an edge gradient between forest and grassland. Taxonomic diversity was the highest in the grassland. Taxonomic diversity was similar in the forest edge and the interior. Functional and phylogenetic diversity were also the highest in the grassland. Functional and phylogenetic diversity were higher in the edge than in the interior.
